TLC'S New Series SHALOM IN THE HOME Seeks Florida Families
SILVER SPRING, Md., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Is your home chaotic instead of peaceful? Is dinnertime battletime? Do you feel like your family is headed in the wrong direction, but feel powerless to stop it? TLC and Diverse Productions are seeking Florida families to participate in a new series, SHALOM IN THE HOME. Hosted by family counselor, scholar and best-selling author Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the series visits families to facilitate deep conversations that get to the root of destructive dynamics. Along the way, he will work with parents to improve both their relationships with each other and with their children.
SHALOM IN THE HOME seeks families in Florida who want to work with Rabbi Shmuley to restore peace and balance in their homes. Producers are searching for families who are dealing with hardships and pressures with their family due to illness, especially attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sadness from loss of a parent or child, or any other difficult situations families may deal with everyday. Producers are also looking for military personnel who have been away from their families and are struggling to readjust to life at home.
This is a documentary style series, and the families will be working with a team of professionals and a host who has written over 15 books and counseled hundreds of families with difficult issues. The tone of the series is respectful and does not aim to exploit families, parents or children.
Children should be over age seven, so they can communicate on camera with the host.
Interested parties should contact Diverse Productions at diversecastcall@yahoo.com or at 212.974.9050 x 187.
SHALOM IN THE HOME is scheduled to premiere on TLC in April 2006. The series is produced for TLC by Diverse Productions. For Diverse, executive producer is Ronnie Krensel. For TLC, executive producer is Deborah Adler Myers.
