Comcast and Congressman Albert R. Wynn to Host 'Take Control of your Television Media Smart Families Workshop'

Local Event Part of Cable Industry's 'Take Control. It's Easy.' Campaign

What: A public workshop designed to explain and demonstrate
strategies and tools that parents can use to manage their
families' media viewing in positive and proactive ways.

Participants will be taught practical steps they can take
immediately to develop a family media plan and help their
children become discerning media viewers. There will also be a
detailed demonstration on how to utilize TV ratings, the V-Chip
and Comcast's additional parental control features.

The local workshop is part of a national campaign led by the
National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) called
"Take Control. It's Easy." The campaign is designed to help
families manage the television content in their homes and
protect their children from inappropriate programming.

Who: Congressman Albert R. Wynn, Comcast, Rosa Parks Middle School
PTA, Cable in the Classroom and area parents.
