The Energizer(R) e2(R) Titanium Technology(R) Freestlyin' Music Contest is giving one rising talent the chance to meet Slim Thug at the DUB Auto Show & Concert in Miami, Fla., on April 23, 2006. The AAA Alkaline battery proven to provide more minutes of music than competitive Alkaline batteries in digital audio devices now wants to showcase the music created by the listener.
Between now and March 24, 2006, individuals can test their freestlylin' abilities by visiting MySpace.com/Energizer to enter the online music contest. To enter, contestants need to download the beat, record their original lyrics and upload their completed song. The entry should be no longer than two minutes and no larger than five mega bytes.
Starting April 3, five semi-finalists will have their songs featured on the contest site for their peers to vote down to the top two finalists. The grand prize winner will be selected by celebrity judge, Slim Thug, on April 12. Slim Thug's debut album features Pharell, T.I. and Bon B., while his baritone style has recently appeared in current chart-topping hits of Beyonce and Gwen Stefani.
"I started out by freestylin' over different beats," said Slim Thug. "Energizer's providing an opportunity for other underground talent to prove they have what it takes to, in this case, go titanium. From there, you never know what can happen."
