Lightworks Program Distribution Appoints John Cuddihy Executive Vice President and Managing Director

- Industry Veteran Named to Head Program Sales and Licensing Activities for Expanding Distribution Entity -

NEW YORK, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- John Cuddihy was named Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Program Distribution for Lightworks Program Distribution (LPD), it was announced by David A. Dreilinger, President and CEO, Lightworks Enterprises Inc., to whom Mr. Cuddihy will report.

In this capacity, Mr. Cuddihy will have overall responsibility for program sales for LPD, promoting its library of hundreds of hours of award-winning programming to domestic and international broadcasters, cable and satellite outlets. Mr. Cuddihy will also be involved in pursuing co-production ventures.

Over the course of twenty-five years, Mr. Cuddihy has worked for such companies as Sony, A&E, New World Entertainment, ESPN, and Katz Media, among others. His vast experience encompasses international program distribution, affiliation agreements, domestic and U.S. Hispanic advertising sales. While at Sony, Mr. Cuddihy created and executed strategies for the Latin American market, including a record-breaking movie slate, top rated television shows and the international distribution of Telemundo Network programs. Under his management the team was named the best studio distribution group in Latin America for two consecutive years and enjoyed record sales. At A&E, Mr. Cuddihy launched territories on a global scale, overseeing the development and management of The History Channel in over 20 countries.
