KARE Demographics Strong
MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- KARE 11 recorded Household ratings wins for the 5 and 6 a.m. news, KARE 11 Saturday and Sunday's 10 p.m. news. Weekday news numbers at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. were less than last year but those numbers indicate clear demographic victories for KARE in the recently completed rating Sweeps.
KARE 11 is expected to remain at the top of the Nielsen Media Research rankings of the highest rated late news broadcasts in the 20 largest media markets. The rankings measure success in attracting viewers from the key adult demos.
"The Household numbers suggest that KARE will dominate the key demographic measurements," said John Remes, president and general manager of KARE 11. "We can look at these numbers and comfortably know that KARE will remain on top when the final demographics are released in a few weeks. We had a good month," he continued, "KARE 11 news did some of our best work ever."
For example, Adult 25-54 viewing levels based on Household indices and recent viewing behavior predict the following results for November:
