Mill Group Inc. Names Ruxin as COO and Thompson as MD
NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Marc Ruxin has joined as the Chief Operating Officer of The Mill Group North America and Alistair Thompson has been promoted to Managing Director of The Mill Group New York.
Thompson has been the Executive Producer with Mill NY since opening. Prior to arriving in New York, he worked as a producer for The Mill in London for five years on such noteworthy commercials as Sony Playstation 'Mental Wealth,' winner of Gold BTA craft awards. Thompson began his career in the post production industry in 1993, working for The Moving Picture Company in London. Since opening the NY office in 2002, Thompson has overseen the radical expansion, developing the Mill NY into one of the leading post facilities in North America.
As COO, Ruxin is responsible for the growth, management and development of new products and services for The Mill and BEAM.TV. Ruxin brings thirteen years of experience leading strategy, development and marketing efforts on both the client and agency side of the technology and entertainment business. Prior to joining The Mill Group, Ruxin was the EVP of Strategy and Accounts for Gyro Group USA, a global B2B technology-focused integrated marketing agency, and held executive positions at two software infrastructure companies. Before that he was a WPP Group Marketing Fellow and spent time at OgilvyOne and Enterprise IG. Soon after, he moved to San Francisco to oversee West Coast technology and marketing business for WPP. Ruxin began his career at EMI Records where he worked in A&R managing artist development and marketing.
