Peak Entertainment Secures the Worldwide Marketing Rights to Stylophone, the 1970's Toy Icon
NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Peak Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: PKEH) , a fully integrated multimedia company dedicated to quality children's and family entertainment, character licensing and consumer products, today announced a three-year agreement for worldwide brand merchandising rights to 1970's toy icon, Stylophone, with Duberq Limited, the original creator.
"Having been a part of this global success story in the past I am simply delighted that Peak has the opportunity to revive this brand," said Wilf Shorrocks, Chief Executive Office and Founder of Peak Entertainment. "We have exciting plans to bring Stylophone to a new generation of kids and music lovers everywhere and with the technological advances that we have planned I am sure we will make it as popular and successful this time around."
Developed by Duberq in the 1970's, the Stylophone was a toy manufacturer's success: marketed as a 'pocket electronic organ' playable by anyone, the Stylophone was sold in the UK, Japan, France, Germany, Italy and the US. The Stylophone was played using a stylus and by touching the metal keyboard with the stylus one was able to complete a circuit and a note was triggered. Although not an immediate success within musical circles, such luminaries as David Bowie, Kraftwerk and Pulp were known to have used the Stylophone.
"We are delighted to see the re-launch of the Stylophone," said Ben Jarvis, Chief Executive Officer of Duberq Limited "We are pleased to have found a licensing partner in Peak who have a personal connection with the Stylophone brand and we are confident this partnership will bring the 'music making for everyone' ethos of the original product to a whole new audience of kids and budding musicians."

The Company later brought onboard Australian entertainer, Rolf Harris, a popular kid's television presenter, to help promote the Stylophone. Duberq is now operated by Ben Jarvis, Brian's eldest son.
