Ziff Davis DigitalLife TV Ranked #1 Video Podcast on the iTunes Music Store

NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziff Davis Internet's DL.TV (www.digitallifetv.com), which launched in August 2005, has already earned a ranking as the number one video podcast on the popular iTunes Music Store. DL.TV (which launched under the name DigitalLife TV), originating from Ziff Davis' new dedicated IPTV studio in San Francisco, Calif., provides consumers with the latest technology news, reviews of high tech gear, and answers to the most common technology questions.

"We're trying to recreate the essence of TechTV, but in a more convenient and worldwide format," said Jim Louderback, Senior Vice President and Editorial Director, Ziff Davis' Consumer Tech Group, which produces DL.TV. "TechTV built an incredible audience, and an incredible community, and proved that intelligent television about technology could be a success. We're the natural follow on. Expect more short and long-form video content from our new studio in the coming weeks and months."

Targeted at consumers and technology enthusiasts, DL.TV's unique Web format -- between 30 minutes and an hour -- also features interviews with top technology experts and coverage of industry events, including DigitalLife, SEMA, CES and more. The show also includes analysis, reviews and gaming tips from sister sites PCMag.com, ExtremeTech.com, Gearlog and 1UP.com.

The twice weekly show, with regular worldwide viewers in over 124 countries, airs live at 9 pm EST/6 pm PST on Tuesdays, and 2pm EST/11 am PST on Thursdays (that translates into 2am GMT and 7pm GMT, respectively, on eastern seaboard of the US). Shows are available immediately after the live airing either for streaming on demand, or for downloading directly or via the iTunes Music Store. DL.TV is available for no charge in all formats, and is even available as a popular, audio-only podcast.

DL.TV is produced by tech fans for tech fans, and includes a passionate team of technology and broadcasting savvy veterans from TechTV and G4. The show is hosted by Patrick Norton, former host of Screen Savers, and Robert Heron, an alumnus of TechTV's lab. DL.TV is produced by Annaliza Savage -- former series producer for Gamespot TV and Extended Play (now XPlay on G4). Jim Louderback (founding editorial director for TechTV) is also a regular contributor.

A number of prominent technology companies have already participated as sponsors. A wide array of innovative advertising options are available, including standard 15, 30 and 60 second video spots, segment sponsorships, lower-third banners and more. The new Ziff Davis IPTV studio also supports the creation of video product reviews, now available on PCMag.com and ExtremeTech.com and, video eSeminars.
