Kelly Clarkson Gives Back to Bay Area Fans
Plans Free Show for Those Who Came to Last Concert
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelly Clarkson is returning to the Bay Area on December 21 at San Jose's HP Pavilion for a free concert for those who saw her perform there in September.
Fans that attended her show at UC Berkeley's Greek Theatre earlier this year will be given complimentary tickets to the new concert date in San Jose.
Kelly Clarkson's performance at the Berkeley Greek Theatre on September 4 was the last she played before being diagnosed with bronchitis. Even though she received no complaints and the fans thought the show was great, Kelly knew it could be better, and has decided to return for another performance.
"I love my fans and they deserve the best that I can give. I promised them I'd come back when I was healthy and I am really looking forward to making this up to them," the singer said.
Those who were at the Berkeley Greek Theatre concert on September 4 will be contacted through Ticketmaster and offered the opportunity to attend the new concert date compliments of Kelly Clarkson. Tickets to purchase for the new show will also be made available to additional fans Sunday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketmaster.com.
After her show at the Berkeley Greek Theatre, Kelly was forced to postpone five Hazel Eyes Tour stops: Santa Barbara, CA; Irvine, CA; Reno, NV; Las Vegas, NV; and Spokane, WA. As promised, Kelly Clarkson will return to each of those cities (with the exception of Santa Barbara) beginning December 10 in Las Vegas. Tickets purchased for the postponed concert dates will be honored for the rescheduled dates. The Santa Barbara date will be moved to next summer since it is outdoors.
Kelly Clarkson will also play two new dates in her home state of Texas and one in Temecula, CA.
The Hazel Eyes Tour began on June 29 and has been one of the most successful tours of the year.
Kelly's video for "Because of You," the fourth single from her sophomore album, Breakaway, is currently number one MTV's "TRL" and VH1's New Music Radar. Vadim Perelman, the writer/director behind "House of Sand and Fog," helmed the video, his first.
Kelly is nominated for four American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist: Pop or Rock, Favorite Female Album:
Pop or Rock and Favorite Artist: Adult Contemporary Music. The 33rd annual AMAs are scheduled for November 22 in Los Angeles.
