Celebrities and Virgin Megastores Team Up in Recognition of World AIDS Day

WHAT: Virgin Megastores across the country are making it easy
for consumers to participate and help raise money in
support of World AIDS Day. Virgin Megastores are
partnering with ONE.org and Lifebeat to raise awareness
of World AIDS Day by giving out red ribbon hand stamps
and distributing literature to educate Virgin Megastore
customers. Virgin Megastore customers can visit any of
the chains North American stores to show their support
for the one-day international campaign by shopping for
specialty items, including the ONE.org bracelet, or by
getting a red ribbon hand stamp.

EVENT: In addition Virgin Megastore, Times Square will host an
afternoon event where celebrities including; Paris
Hilton, Paula Abdul and Broadway sensation Judy Kaye,
will be on hand to meet with Virgin Megastore customers
and stamp them with a commemorative red ribbon. Paris
Hilton will wrap up the event with a book signing.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Virgin Megastores will donate several
celebrity-autographed items, including CDs, DVDs, books

products tied to the HIV/AIDS cause. Virgin Megastores
will be selling Streetwires products, which include
hand-crafted metalwork ranging from key chains to radios.
By buying these items customers are not only helping
create sustainable jobs in Africa, but also supporting an
army of health workers on motorbikes fighting HIV & AIDS
in rural Africa. In addition Virgin Unite Heaven's
Angels fashion items will be for sale, with profits going
to help HIV & AIDS in Africa.
