TNT Announces Semifinalists for 'Dramatic Auditions' Program

Three Aspiring Actors Will Be Chosen for Final Auditions in Los Angeles

ATLANTA, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Network Television (TNT), the first and only network dedicated to drama, announces the semifinalists of its second annual "Dramatic Auditions" program, a nationwide search for the most talented aspiring actors in America. The search began in Los Angeles on Oct. 6 before traveling to Chicago on Oct. 11 and ending in New York on Oct. 20. In addition, hopeful actors across the country who could not attend the live auditions submitted their auditions both online and by mail. The first major off-channel talent search contest conducted in a format similar to traditional auditions, "Dramatic Auditions" attracted thousands of talented actors from across the country.

The following is a list of twenty semifinalists for TNT's "Dramatic Auditions":

Los Angeles: Chicago:
Emanuel Henry Don Braid
Crystal Irby Monifa Days
Erica Pitts Marquinn McDonald
Kristin Rateliff Saadiqa Muhammad
Ishtar Stewart Lenise Williams

New York: Online/Mail-in:
Michelle Charles LaToya Morgan Anderson
Adam Henry Garcia Jami DeCrease
Chyna Lane Christopher Dornberger
Michael The Amanda Drake
Serge Thony Kerry Palmer

During the auditions, hopeful dramatic actors selected monologues from The New Classics movies on TNT (a complete list is available at www.tnt.tv) and had the opportunity to perform their selected scene live in front of a panel of judges. Each semifinalist will receive $1000 and is eligible to win the grand prize: $50,000, an apartment in Los Angeles and use of a car for 12 months, acting lessons and a publicist. Focused on serious dramatic acting, "Dramatic Auditions" re-enforces TNT's dedication to drama.

The judges will choose three finalists from the 20 semifinalists listed above. TNT will then fly the three finalists to Los Angeles for a final audition taping, where the judges will review the finalist tapes and select a grand prize winner to be announced in December.
