Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Content everywhere is becoming a reality in European and worldwide media
markets. The ubiquity of digital content distribution bears fascinating
opportunities for the industry - while piracy must still be seen as the No.1
obstacle in successfully building new businesses or completing existing ones.
During its 3rd Annual European Anti-Piracy Symposium, AEPOC will present
an overview of salient achievements and actions against piracy of
audio-visual services - and discuss new challenges especially in regards to
opportunities and threats from Internet-based businesses such as IPTV. On
Tuesday, 22nd November AEPOC President Jean Grenier welcomes Vice President
Luc Perrault of North-American partner association CASST (Coalition Against
Satellite Signal Theft) and Raymond Leinster Director General of UK's FACT
(Federation Against Copyright Theft). Speakers and panellists will further
include AEPOC members from all sectors of the digital value chain. The agenda
will be completed by specialist guest speakers giving valuable insight into
the European scenarios.
The Symposium will be moderated by Jeremy Thompson, anchor presenter of
Sky News, and Nick Snow, Chief Editor of Euromedia, discussing with AEPOC
members and other key personalities. The free of charge conference is
targeted at professionals and press from the media industries and shall
provide an in-depth discussion forum for stakeholders from both the
broadcasting and telecommunication sector in order to recognize the right
steps against arising new forms of audio-visual piracy.
AEPOC would be delighted to welcome you.
Yours faithfully,
Davide Rossi
Secretary General AEPOC
