Printers Row Pictures Takes Fans to Eden Court

Printers Row Pictures Takes Fans to Eden Court

CHICAGO, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Printers Row Pictures, a Chicago-based film production company, is currently in production on the independent feature Eden Court. The film is a dramatic comedy about a man's early-life crisis, and is scheduled for completion by month's end.

Eden Court stars Thomas Lennon (Reno 911), Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Father of the Bride and According to Jim), Stephnie Weir (MadTV), and Christian Finnegan (Chappelle's Show).

Based on a screenplay written by Murphy Guyer, and originally produced for the stage in New York and other cities, Eden Court is a coming of age comedy. The film centers on minor league baseball and tells the story of Shroeder Duncan (Lennon), who searches for a more meaningful life than his current trailer park existence has to offer.

Paul Leuer, a Chicago-area native, is the founding member of Printers Row Pictures, and serves as the Producer and Director for Eden Court. Carl Amari, of Falcon Picture Group, is a Producer of Eden Court. Mr. Amari most recently produced the action-drama Madison, staring Jim Caviezel and Bruce Dern, which was released by MGM/Sony in April 2005. Kathe Walton is also a Producer for Eden Court. Pete Biagi is the Director of Photography.

Shooting is being completed in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Leuer noted, "Having grown up in the area, I felt it was important to film close to home. I wanted to work with some of the best professionals in the business, and the film crews in Chicago are exceptional." He added, "Local support is important in a project such as this. Without the support and cooperation of Rich Ehrenreich, President and Managing Partner of the Schaumberg Flyers, production of this film simply would not have been possible."

Not only is the Producing team from Chicago, the actors also have Chicago roots as well.

-- Thomas Lennon is an Oak Park native. Lennon was featured in Memento and
Herbie Fully Loaded. He is the Executive Producer, writer, and star in
Comedy Central's Reno 911.

-- Kimberly Williams-Paisley is a graduate of Northwestern University in
Evanston. Williams-Paisley played alongside Steve Martin in the Father
of the Bride series and stars in ABC's According to Jim.

-- Stephnie Weir performed at Chicago's Second City and Improv Olympic.
She can be seen on Fox's MadTV.

Eden Court is about Shroeder Duncan, who feels overwhelmed on his 30th birthday with his place in the universe. He wants to create a more meaningful life than what his trailer park existence has to offer. An injury ruined Shroeder's future in baseball, and his choices in life have failed to grant him the "American Dream." Shroeder works at a minor league baseball park as a groundskeeper, and becomes increasingly frustrated as other players achieve the success he always wanted. In bitter desperation, Shroeder resolves to pack up, leave his wife and job, and start his life over. Before he can leave, Bonnie (Williams-Paisley), his good-natured and devoted wife, and Barb (Weir), her best friend and resident alcoholic, prove to be too disruptive of a force in Shroeder's plan. Ultimately, Shroeder and Bonnie rediscover what makes life meaningful in their trailer park of paradise called Eden Court.
