Screenwriters Look to Public for 100 Actors

New Screenwriters Launch PimpMyMovie.com to Find Talent, Generate Publicity and Financial Backing

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- When Steve Vitelli and Greg Vandzura started putting their movie script on paper, they had high hopes of fame and fortune after having it made into a big screen success.

Before too long, however, they realized they were in a catch 22. "We don't have an agent," says Vitelli, "but we also have no previous scripts written to help us get one."

Thus, Vitelli (a.k.a. "V" and Vandzura a.k.a. "Greggie") need the public's help to generate attention and support for their movie script. Their website, PimpMyMovie.com, serves as a means for generating publicity and getting support.

To help create the "buzz" they need, Vitelli and Vandzura have launched a free online casting directory on their site. Actors, models, dancers, and the general public who are interested in appearing in the movie need only to register by posting their personal profile and photo. "We'll be choosing 100 people for small parts in the movie, and we'll need tons of extras," says Vitelli.

The movie, "The Valet" is the first script written by the duo. Since then, they have written four more and are working on their fifth. "The film is set in and around the great city of Philly, which will be beneficial to all local businesses such as catering, hotels and night life, and opportunities for any local movie production staff," says Vitelli.

Once enough exposure has been generated, Vitelli and Vandzura would like to promote PimpMyMovie.com as a resource for writers, actors, agents, and producers. "We would like writers to post their scripts and filmmakers to post their trailers. Readers will give feedback, and this will help generate publicity," says Vitelli.

Any visitor to the site is welcome to read the script, then post their thoughts and comments.

The writers feel if they can establish a forum that will benefit everyone in the business, they can help keep the industry in tune with its target audience. All visitors to the site are invited to read the script, then post their opinions.
