NEW YORK, Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SONY BMG SMG will release 'Hot Wheels - AcceleRacers(TM),' CD Soundtrack - the first ever collection of music from the hit Mattel Brands toy franchise.
Mattel's Hot Wheels basic cars are the number 1 selling toy vehicle in the US and have been the favorite toy for boys 5-14 for years. The latest iteration of the franchise, Hot Wheels AcceleRacers (TM), will continue to add to the brand's longstanding success as they fly off the shelves at retail.
The Hot Wheels AcceleRacers (TM) CD features an eclectic mix of hard rock, punk and rap tracks from the Hot Wheels AcceleRacers (TM) TV movies and DVDs such as Go, Tearin' Up The Streets and the AcceleRacers(TM) Theme Song. The Hot Wheels AccelerRacers(TM) CD embodies all values of the racing teams and the Hot Wheels brand -- Speed, Power, Performance and Attitude.
The CD not only is filled with great music, but also includes three Hot Wheels AcceleRacers(TM) trading cards, an exclusive code to download a hidden song, a bonus poster, as well as a coupon for $2 off of the Hot Wheels AcceleRacers(TM) DLX Hyperpod (TM). This CD release represents the franchise's initial foray into music.
In an effort to save the world from the evil Racing Drones(TM), the AcceleRacers(TM) teams battle the Racing Realms(TM) -- the ultimate race which includes a series of driving challenges that take them across daunting courses located in 13 environments including under water, through lava, into a dark cavern, over a cliff side and more. Successfully navigating all realms equates to total mastery of all possible driving skills, under all possible driving conditions, using all types of cars.
