Westman, 41, a New York City firefighter from Sayville, New York, came to the nation's attention when he won CBS's Survivor: Palau this Spring, and was lately named as one of TV Guide's TV's Sexiest Men. Currently, he is a recently retired Lieutenant of Ladder Company 108 in Brooklyn who aided in the rescue efforts of 9/11, and is actively involved in a number of charities. During the Survivor series, he showed himself to be gregarious, practical, reliable, and competitive, all traits that coincide with the attributes of the Caribbean Joe image.
Trudy Larson, VP, Creative Director, of Apparel Holdings Group, said, "Tom is the perfect fit for our Caribbean Joe label. He is Every Man- dedicated, family oriented, and real. He is someone the American public relates to and respects because of the way he played the game in Survivor -- with integrity, and his years of service as a Firefighter. He embodies the spirit of Caribbean Joe and the Caribbean Joe consumer."
"Deciding to represent Caribbean Joe made so much sense for me," stated Westman. "This is a collection that fits my lifestyle and is how I really dress everyday." In addition to the ad campaign, Tom will be making appearances in retail accounts nationwide on behalf of Caribbean Joe. "I'm very excited about this partnership," said Westman, "and especially store appearances that give me the chance to meet all of the viewers who supported me on Survivor."
