Autodesk Completes Acquisition of Software Developer Colorfront

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Colorfront Ltd. for $15 million USD. On April 18, 2005, Autodesk announced a definitive agreement to acquire Colorfront -- the leading developer of color correction technology for film studios and digital film laboratories. This acquisition positions Autodesk for long-term growth in the digital film industry and is expected to be neutral to Autodesk's earnings in fiscal year 2006.

Colorfront, a privately held company based in Budapest, Hungary, worked with Autodesk to co-develop the Discreet Lustre digital color grading system. Introduced in April 2003, the Lustre system has enabled digital content creators to realize their ideas in feature films such as Sin City, The Polar Express, The Phantom of the Opera and National Treasure.
