Reader's Digest Ranks America's Cleanest Big Cities
After a rigorous review of environmental data, Reader's Digest issues its first ranking of America's Cleanest Cities in the July issue, on newsstands June 21. Based on five measures of cleanliness -- air pollution, water pollution, toxic emissions, hazardous waste and the number of sanitation workers per capita -- the 50 most populous Metropolitan Statistical Areas in the country were scored.
According to Reader's Digest, the five cleanest cities are: Portland, Oregon; San Jose, California; Buffalo, New York; Columbus, Ohio; and San Francisco, California. The complete list of America's Cleanest Cities is available at www.rd.com.

Old Spice Names Phoenix the Sweatiest City in America
In anticipation of the first day of summer on Tuesday, June 21, Old Spice has announced its Fourth Annual Top-100 Sweatiest Cities List -- a ranking of the nation's heaviest sweaters during the summer months. For the second time in four years, the Number one perspiration producer is Phoenix, taking the title from last year's top-ranking city of El Paso, Texas. The top honor also went to the famed desert city back in 2003.
Cities in Texas and Florida continued to dominate the top-ten while, for the first time, a city in Nevada cracked the top-five with Las Vegas ranking number two. The least sweatiest cities include Green Bay, Wisconsin, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and San Francisco.

TV Land Landmarks Immortalizes Samantha Stephens of Bewitched in Salem
