Deep in the Heart of Texas Eight City Slickers Trade in Their Briefcases for Boots on 'COWBOY U: TEXAS'

Deep in the Heart of Texas Eight City Slickers Trade in Their Briefcases for Boots on 'COWBOY U: TEXAS'

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Deep in the heart of cowboy country, city slickers abandon their urban existence to see if they have what it takes to survive COWBOY U: TEXAS. CMT pits four men and four women against each other in a battle for $25,000 and the right to be called cowboy on the fourth season of COWBOY U. The urbanites must find the courage to face their biggest fears and learn to become real working ranch cowboys when COWBOY U: TEXAS premieres Friday, July 1 at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT.

From the rugged hills of West Texas, COWBOY U takes eight city slickers through a window to the past when "cowboy" was a way of life and only the strong survived. It's no summer camp as the contestants learn to wrestle steer, barrel race and ultimately -- ride a live bull. The mental and physical challenges test their limits, and the weak link must face a night alone in the cold.

Head cowboy Rocco Wachman is back with hunk bullrider Judd Leffew to guide the city slickers through their transformation. In a challenge to prove they can outdo Mother Nature and each other, COWBOY U: TEXAS features men and women from cities across America:

- Brian - Artist; Lakeland, Fla.
- Candy - Lawyer; Sacramento, Calif.
- Corey - Personal Trainer; Westwood, Calif.
- Fawn - Fashion Merchandiser; Los Angeles, Calif.
- George - Salesman; Oviedo, Fla.
- Rachel - Ballet Teacher; New York, NY
- Sal - Music Director; Los Angeles, Calif.
- Tera - Graphic Designer; Santa Monica, Calif.
