Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures Signs Major Talent for New Animated TV Series

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Corner Stone Animation's educational animated TV series for children, Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures, has completed casting and starts production today. The series, told from a five-year-old's perspective, is designed to solve problems related to a child's transition from the home to a school environment by making kids interested and excited about the kindergarten experience.

"We have an incredibly talented cast of accomplished film and voice actors and we're honored that they chose to participate in this groundbreaking project," said series producer Michael Pietrzak. The cast includes Daveigh Chase (Lilo & Stitch, Stitch! The Movie, Lilo & Stitch: The Series), Fred Willard (Teamo Supremo, Chicken Little, Best in Show), Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons, Kim Possible, Rug Rats), Vicki Lewis (Finding Nemo), Bess Armstrong (That Was Then, Her Best Friend's Husband), Sally Struthers (All in the Family, The Adventures of Mother Goose, Dinosaurs), Cree Summer (Star Wars: Clone Wars, X-Men Legends), and Richard Horvitz (EverQuest II, Power Rangers). Tom Bosley (Happy Days, The Tangerine Bear) has also signed on. His character will appear in the third and subsequent episodes.

Created by preschool teacher and author Betsy Quinn and directed by award- winning animator Fred Crippen, Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures is an animated cartoon series targeted for kids ages 1-6. Each episode involves Betsy and her friends in adventure after adventure where they learn teamwork and valuable life lessons. Every episode will contain an academic and a behavioral lesson. The series executive producers are Charles Picerni, Dale Scales and Reed Clevenger.
