Restaurant Chain Invites American Idol Star to Get in the Groove for New Summer Menu; Offers $10,000 Recording Session to Performer for Chain's 'It's All Here' Song
PITTSBURGH, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Eat'n Park guests may have the chance to eat to the beat of American Idol runner up Bo Bice, as the family dining chain today announces it will offer the performer a $10,000 recording contract to sing the chain's summer menu jingle.
"We're excited about the prospect of pairing Eat'n Park with one of America's hottest young singers," said Kevin O'Connell, senior vice president of Marketing, Eat'n Park. "Bo's all-American sound and work ethic fit perfectly with the Eat'n Park family dining experience, so we're excited about offering him the opportunity to lend his trademark voice to our company's sound."
According to O'Connell, Eat'n Park's new summer menu jingle, "It's All Here," which can be heard at www.eatnpark.com/news.asp , will be re-recorded by Mr. Bice if the chain's offer is accepted. "It's All Here," was written by award-winning singer/songwriter Bob Corbin, who worked in conjunction with Market Street Sound, Pittsburgh, to produce the piece.
Corbin is famous for a number of #1 pop and country hits, including "Can't Keep a Good Man Down" and "Fire in the Night," performed by super group Alabama. His work also includes commercial jingles for Pepsi(R) and Doritos(R), among other products.
"Our new jingle really captures the spirit of our company and our guests," said O'Connell. "So, we are excited about the prospect of bringing Bo's strong voice and unique rock sound to the mix to promote our new summer menu."
Some of Eat'n Park's rockin' new summer specials at its 79 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia will include Southwest Chicken Quesadillas, Arizona Fire-Roasted Chicken Salad, Tuscan Chicken Sandwich, Kansas City BBQ Burger and more.
According to O'Connell, preliminary discussions are underway with officials from 19 Entertainment, which produces American Idol. "We've had some initial conversations in the past several days about the possibility of working with the runner-up," he said, "but we expect those discussions to really get going now that the season finale has aired and we can begin to talk about Bo's role."
