Terrapin Ridge Dessert Squeezes, packaged in 9-fluid ounce plastic squirt bottles, were introduced at the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco in 2004 to inspire home cooks to "decorate their plates" for a restaurant-style presentation. The line includes Pan Asian-inspired Lime Coconut, Two Cherry, Passion Vanilla and Red Raspberry flavors to dot, squiggle or zigzag in tarts and atop cakes, cheesecakes, pound cake, sliced fruit, fresh berries, short breads and cookies, to name a few uses.
"We're excited that the Food Network's Unwrapped program will introduce more home cooks to Dessert Squeezes, said Martha Furst, president and CEO of Furst-McNess Company, the makers of Terrapin Ridge. "The squeeze bottles are ideal for cookouts and picnics, and the garnishing sauces are a quick, easy and fun way to add a great burst of fruit flavor to summertime favorites, with pastry chef finesse."
Terrapin Ridge Dessert Squeezes are available at Jewel-Osco, The Fresh Market, Wegman's, Kings Fresh Ideas and at specialty food stores nationwide, or may be ordered on-line at http://www.terrapinridge.com/ or by calling 800-999-4052. The suggested retail price is $6.20.
"We couldn't be more pleased that Food Network's producer 'discovered' our Dessert Squeezes at the Fancy Food Show, and was impressed with the line," said Mary Beth Merari, Director of Sales for the CPG Division for Terrapin Ridge. "The production team visited our plant in Freeport, Ill., last fall for a behind-the-scenes look at how the sauces are made," she explained. "We've been eagerly awaiting final word on the air dates, to share the good news with both our customers and consumers."
The Unwrapped program, hosted by Marc Summers, profiles the stories behind America's food favorites, and is one of the highest-rated primetime series on the Food Network. For additional information, visit http://www.foodnetwork.com/ .
