Bill Blass Names Ashley PR Director

NEW YORK, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Blass has announced the appointment of Victoria Ashley as Director of Public Relations. She will be responsible for all press relations including editorial coverage, celebrity liaison, special events and will also look for appropriate tie-in opportunities where the brand, and it's current designer, Michael Vollbracht, can be featured. Additionally, Ashley will work with the line's licensees and retailers to strategize and promote product launches.

Ashley comes to Blass after more than 3 years at MGM in Los Angeles where she was Vice-President of International Marketing and handled the international publicity on such films as "De-Lovely," "Die Another Day," the latest James Bond installment, "SAVED!," "Igby Goes Down," "Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde 2." Prior to that, Ashley had the Special Projects Editor post at Marie Claire following a 7 year run at Miramax Films where she first handled domestic field publicity and then went on to run their international publicity efforts out of the New York office.

She began her career in media relations department of Home Box Office in Los Angeles.
