STORY SUMMARY:
Sales of commercial airtime are brisk, a number of new advertisers are participating and viewership will be high for Super Bowl XXXIX. There will be several advertisements from "perennial favorites" Anheuser-Busch and Pepsi, which normally dominate the list of the most-liked commercials during the Super Bowl.
Those advertisers will be joined by a bumper crop of newcomers to this year's big ad event and will include Volvo, Lincoln-Mercury, CareerBuilder.com and MBNA. Find out who will top the list for 2005 with results from USA TODAY's Ad Meter. The results are based on volunteers who chart their second- by-second reactions to national Super Bowl commercials. Volunteers use hand- held meters to register how much they liked or disliked an ad while a computer averages the scores continuously.
