'Stolen Honor' Receives National Award

'Stolen Honor' Receives National Award

WASHINGTON, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, February 18, 2005, American Film Renaissance (AFR) will confer its documentary award on "Stolen Honor" for "The Documentary with the Greatest Impact" in 2004, at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, DC. The announcement will be made by AFR founder and president Ellen Hubbard on Michael Medved's nationally syndicated radio talk show, which will broadcast live from CPAC's Radio Row.

When asked why "Stolen Honor" was chosen for this prestigious award, Hubbard said, "We felt it had the most impact because of the tremendous amount of press and public attention it received. 'Stolen Honor' undercut the credibility of a major Presidential candidate by telling the powerful story of American POWs in Vietnam."

AFR, a non-profit film institute and film festival based in Dallas, Texas, makes its award selections based on three dozen voting parties, including film critics, producers and writers from national publications such as USA Today, The Weekly Standard and National Review. Awards are given for films in five other categories, including "Best Film," whose recipient this year was "The Passion of the Christ."

Accepting the award will be Carlton Sherwood, Producer of "Stolen Honor," and President of Red, White and Blue Productions, an independent documentary company based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
