It's Miller Time for the Voice of the World Series Champions

- Miller Brewing Company Signs Jerry Remy to Serve as the Face and Voice of Miller Throughout New England -

BOSTON, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Miller Brewing Company has announced a new relationship with Jerry Remy, New England Sports Network (NESN) color analyst, voice of the World Series Champions and local son (Fall River, MA) that spans multiple marketing platforms.

The relationship with Miller will feature Jerry Remy in radio commercials, the use of his likeness in point-of-sale (POS) materials, and appearances during events and promotions throughout the season. One consumer promotion will offer legal drinking-age consumers the opportunity to win a visit to the broadcast booth, where the winner will visit Remy and his partner during a game broadcast. Another promotion will give fans the opportunity to win a private party, hosted by Remy himself. The promotions will be supported during NESN broadcasts. The partnership marks the first of its kind between Miller and a celebrated member of Boston's most beloved baseball family.

"There is no one that means Boston Baseball more than Jerry Remy," says Christine Carlo, Senior Marketing Manager for Miller Brewing Company in the Northeast. "It's an honor to have him on our team, helping Miller bring baseball fans to a whole new level of excitement for a team we all love."

Jerry Remy is entering his eighteenth year as NESN's color analyst. Prior to stepping behind the microphone, Remy was a fan-favorite at Fenway Park, playing second base for the Sox for seven seasons. He was originally signed by the Angels in 1971 and made his major league debut in 1975, before being traded to Boston preceding the '78 season.

"I've prided myself on making good calls in the booth for going on 18 years now," says Remy. "Now, I'm extending outside the booth and helping those in Sox Nation make a good call with their beer -- and reach for more with a Miller Lite."
