In her new capacity, Katz will oversee the creation and execution of publicity and media outreach campaigns for the network's key original series and movie programming -- serving as the liaison between SHOWTIME and major national consumer media including major market newspapers, national magazines and national broadcast outlets.
"Smart, intrepid, strategic, creative, respected and passionate are just a few of the attributes that make Faye one of the finest television publicity executives in the business," said Licata. "I'm thrilled to recognize Faye's many accomplishments with this much deserved promotion and look forward to her contributions in continuing to build SHOWTIME's programming profile," he added.
Previously, Katz served as Director, Consumer Public Relations for Showtime Networks. During this time, she spearheaded the national publicity and media relations campaigns for many of the network's most successful series, including "Soul Food," "The L Word," and the recently launched "Huff." Additionally, she led the campaigns for virtually all of the network's Showtime Original Pictures for All Ages, including the Peabody Award winning "Bang Bang You're Dead."
Katz first joined Showtime Networks in 1990 as Manager, Consumer Public Relations. Prior to that, she was a Senior Account Executive at Rogers and Cowan Inc. During her 10-year tenure there, Katz oversaw the publicity campaigns for numerous accounts including a variety of TV projects, celebrities and entertainment accounts.
Katz will continue to work in the company's New York City headquarters.
