INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Emmis Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:EMMS) has selected Indianapolis Radio (1070 WIBC, Real 97.1, Radio Now 93.1, and B105.7) and Cincinnati Magazine as the sites of this year's Emmis Diversity Fellowship experience.
In its second year, the Emmis Diversity Fellowship is designed to attract and develop talented college graduates. Current fellows are on the job at Atlanta Magazine (Chandra Thomas, assistant editor); Power 106 in Los Angeles (Mic King); and KMTV in Omaha (Christine Chin).
"One goal of our diversity program is to develop future leaders -- to develop our bench strength -- and the fellowships will help us get there," said Kelli Lester-Brown, Emmis staffing and diversity manager.
To be considered for the program, applicants must have received a bachelor's degree at a 4-year accredited college or university and achieved a minimum 3.0 accumulative Grade Point Average, based on a 4.0 scale (4.5 GPA required for schools on 6.0 scales).
