WIRED Magazine Opens Call for Inventions, Prototypes & Designs of the Future to be Showcased at WIRED NextFest 2005
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ --
WHAT: WIRED Magazine has begun its annual search for innovations from
inventors and research and development labs from around the world
for WIRED NextFest 2005 in Chicago. WIRED is now accepting
submissions for its three-day festival that will show the best in
emerging technology across industries including: communication,
design, energy, entertainment, exploration, medicine/health, the
home, security, and transportation.
WHO: Approximately 100 technology exhibitors will be selected based on
the criteria established by WIRED Magazine. The criteria are:
-- Technology must be aligned with one of the NextFest industry
themes
-- Potential impact of the key innovation on everyday life in
the near future
-- Capable of being demonstrated at a live event, preferably in
an interactive manner
There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted
by an entrant. A complete entry form and separate fee must
accompany each submission.
WHEN: The submission deadline is March 4, 2005. All submission forms
and fees postmarked after March 4, 2005, will be returned.
