Blue Coat Names Johnny Batten Vice President of Global Customer Services
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Blue Coat(R) Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:BCSI), a leading provider of proxy appliances, today announced that Johnny Batten has been appointed vice president of global customer services. Batten will assume responsibility for the company's worldwide services and support activities, which include consulting, education, customer service and technical support.
Batten joins Blue Coat after 26 years of supporting the world's most demanding IT customers, including more than 20 years in customer services management. Most recently, Batten served as vice president of services and support at CoSine Communications where he led all professional and maintenance services, technical trials and evaluation support for partners, customers and prospects. Prior to CoSine, Batten spent 23 years with Amdahl Corporation where he served as vice president of global services and support delivering more than $100 million in annual professional services revenue, and supporting the sale of approximately $450 million in information technology products.
