Next Version Includes Managed Contact Lists the Fastest and Easiest Way to Automatically Populate User Contact Lists

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Coversant, Inc. released the next major version of its .NET XMPP messaging server, SoapBox Server 2005.

SoapBox Server 2005 now includes Managed Contact Lists. Administrators can now create users and groups of users to push out to clients. The most compelling feature is the synchronization with Active Directory, LDAP, and NT. Changes are immediately reflected on the client so contact lists are always up to date and accurate with no need for user interaction.

"Managed Contact Lists allow organizations to seamlessly integrate their directory service user groups with SoapBox Server. Now contact lists for each user can be assigned and defined based on their Active Directory, NT, or LDAP groups," said JD Conley, Principle Software Engineer.

Other new features include more configuration options for administrators, performance enhancements, message broadcasting to managed groups and a file transfer proxy server.
