Intellisync Rounds Out Mobile-Carrier Platform With Addition of New Wireless Email Solution That Targets Mass-Market Devices
Intellisync(R) goAnywhere(TM) Delivers 'Office in Your Phone'(TM) Capabilities Such as On-Demand & Push Email, PIM Sync, Device Management and Secure File Access
Intellisync goAnywhere Joins Intellisync Mobile Suite(TM) to Complete a Comprehensive Platform That Provides Robust Functionality Across a Wide Range of Devices and Markets
SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Intellisync Corporation (NASDAQ:SYNC), a leading developer and marketer of wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications industry, today unveiled an expanded mobile-carrier platform featuring a new suite of wireless email and productivity products for the consumer market. The Company's Intellisync goAnywhere(TM) product suite now provides on-demand and push email, PIM synchronization, device management and secure file access for hundreds of SyncML-based mass-market devices, plus a number of other wireless platforms.
Intellisync goAnywhere joins enterprise-grade Intellisync(R) Mobile Suite(TM) to round out the Company's offering for mobile carriers. Intellisync now provides a modular, extensible platform that enables mobile carriers to deliver the "office in your phone"(TM) experience to a broad range of potential customers -- from small-/medium-sized businesses and large enterprises to mobile professionals and the growing number of consumers demanding wireless email and office applications.
"With the launch of Intellisync goAnywhere, mobile carriers can now look to one provider -- Intellisync -- to expand their product offering," said Intellisync CEO Woodson (Woody) Hobbs. "Our new Intellisync goAnywhere and Intellisync Mobile Suite constitute a comprehensive platform that delivers what we believe is the industry's broadest capabilities, market coverage and device support. Unlike proprietary solutions that focus on limited devices, or other companies that are merely RIM clones for wireless email, we allow mobile carriers to reach multiple markets with nearly any device, for a wide variety of applications. Even more important, in our opinion, is how Intellisync allows the carrier to retain control of mobile customer relationships, maximize revenues, lower operating costs and reduce churn. Further, we believe large carriers today understand that mobility is more than just email. Intellisync provides many capabilities -- beyond wireless email -- that carriers can upsell to drive new revenue."
INTELLISYNC goANYWHERE EXPANDS COMPANY'S GLOBAL REACH
Intellisync goAnywhere's support of hundreds of SyncML-based, mass-market devices is expected to open new opportunities for the Intellisync internationally, particularly in Asia. To support its growing business in China, Intellisync recently introduced fully localized versions of its SyncML-based solutions in the Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese languages. "We believe that Intellisync's SyncML solutions are key to enabling a wide range of mobile data services in the Chinese market," said Mr. Bo Zhao, deputy director in general of the Electronics Division for China's Ministry of Information Industry.
