HouseRaising Announces the Formation of an Internet-Based Homebuilding Consulting Division and Projects Fee Revenues From the Division for 2005-2007

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Chairman and CEO of HouseRaising, Inc. (HRAI) (BULLETIN BOARD: HRAI - News) Charles Skibo announced today the addition of a new profit center for HouseRaising, the HR Consulting Group.

HouseRaising currently owns and manages three (3) wholly-owned subsidiaries: HouseRaisingUSA (HR-USA); HR HomeBuyerDirect (HBD); and HouseRaisingAcademy (HRA). (http://www.houseraising.com/) HR-USA operates regional companies that design and build homes for discriminating homebuyers. HR-HBD is an Internet-based company working for homebuyers desiring to act as the builder of their own home. HRA is an Internet-based technology company providing management software and support structure for all HouseRaising activities. Each entity functions as a profit center for HouseRaising, Inc.

Mr. Skibo stated: "The new consulting operation will function as a division of HouseRaisingAcademy creating fee revenues from assisting homebuyers and homebuilders to organize existing "old-way" projects begun not utilizing HouseRaising's system. Management projects that revenues from the consulting division will produce additional profits for the HouseRaising organization of approximately $500,000 during 2005, increasing to $1.5 million in 2006 and over $3 million in 2007. In addition to creating revenues for the company, management believes public awareness of successfully reorganizing existing projects for homebuyers and builders will produce marketing advantages to our overall business."

Mr. Grant Neerings, President of HouseRaisingAcademy states: "Designing and building unique homes is a complex undertaking and in the old way of managing these projects, many custom homes were begun without the use of a system and without adequate planning and organization. When these well- intended homebuyers and independent builders face difficult issues, HR Consulting Group will provide viable solutions to their complex problems."

HouseRaising's patent pending System C is designed to turn complicated design and build projects into fun and financially sound endeavors for buyers and builders. System C is close to being ready as an on-line management process that will assist HouseRaising customers to create successful projects. However, many old-way homebuilding projects currently under construction were begun without an organized system and they face obstacles that seem insurmountable. HR Consulting Group believes, with the assistance of System C, many of these projects can be reorganized to resolve complicated issues.

Beginning in Q1 2005, HouseRaisingAcademy will recruit builder consultants to use the proprietary HouseRaising software in organizing and solving problems throughout North and South Carolina. Within a year, we intend to offer the consulting services on a national level. The HouseRaising system defines 1,269 critical problem points that encompass every design/build and renovation project. The System includes 3,400 tasks and business requirements needed to address and solve the critical problem points. The majority of the problems that occur in design/build projects occur because one of these critical problem points has not been addressed correctly. The HR Consulting Group creates solutions by determining which of the 1,269 critical problem points led to the current issues in a project and applies the appropriate number of the 3,400 tasks needed to correct the problem. Consultants then develop action plans and set specific tasks in motion to solve the issues.

"The purpose of the Consulting Group is not to find fault in these ongoing projects -- but to provide solutions. We are paid a flat fee for reviewing a project and paid hourly for the time needed to develop solutions. Our fees can be paid by the buyers, the builder, or the lender involved in the project, or any combination thereof. Once we define the issues at hand, the Consulting Group utilizes a version of System C to assist the parties to develop an action plan for completing the projects correctly and as quickly as possible" said Grant Neerings.

"After having spent over forty years in the design/build industry, I have seen just about every type of problem that can occur in these complicated projects," said Robert V. McLemore, Founder and President of HouseRaising, Inc. I developed the HouseRaising system to prevent these problems from happening and I am excited to see the HR Consulting Group offer the use of this system to help other homebuyers and homebuilders resolve problems when they do occur."
