Planned Private, Direct Fiber Connection to London

DALLAS, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- C I Host, a leading Web host and Internet solutions provider, will open a data center nine minutes from Manhattan in 2005.

The 10,000-square-foot Newark facility will have a direct, private fiber connection to the London facility enabling private data transfer.

Enhanced geographic-specific services include disaster recovery solutions, data backup services, geographic load balancing, data warehousing and redundancy.

SMBs will benefit from having greater access to geographic content distribution, load balancing and redundant locations.

"We will introduce enterprise services to SMB owners and give them access to service levels and features they never thought possible," Faulkner said. "Normally these services are reserved for customers paying more. With us, SMB customers can have servers in Newark, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Jose, or any combination of these, for under $1,000 monthly."

Housing equipment and serving data at locations around the globe is important for companies with customers in several locations. The closer the server is to the customer, the more quickly the site loads and the more likely the customer stays online.
