Hop-on Announces Its Fixed Wireless CDMA 1X Product for CES Utilizing Its Modular Technology

IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hop-on.com, Inc. today announced that it will introduce its tri-mode CDMA 1X Fixed Wireless phone at the CES show in Las Vegas on January 6-9, 2005 (Booth 31578). This phone utilizes Hop-on's 1X CDMA module (that was introduced on October 20th) and is similar in size to a traditional landline phone. However, since it is wireless, it is much easier to install and move because the subscriber can change the location of the installation at any time and it is convenient to use in areas where the installation of a landline phone wire is either difficult or not available. It uses cutting edge 3G technology, and is backward compatible with IS-95 A/B. Hop-on's fixed wireless phone features an AC adaptor input, back up battery (with 2 hours talk time and 72 hours standby time), 2 way SMS and Broadcast SMS, line feed and meter pulse generation for pay phone, dial tone, supports voice privacy, alarm clock and calendar display, hands free operation and has a dot matrix Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with 3 line text and one line Icon.

Dan Gannon, Chief Executive Officer of Hop-on commented, "Our Dallas R&D team has been working diligently and timely to finish the development of our fixed wireless phone and we are very proud that they have completed this project in time for us to introduce it at the world's largest annual consumer technology tradeshow. With this exciting product application using our 1X CDMA module, we can now offer a wireless landline product in both our domestic market as well as emerging markets, such as China, India, and Latin American".
