DALLAS, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., (NYSE:ACS), a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that Harvey V. Braswell, Group President of ACS State Healthcare Solutions, has won the 2004 Outstanding Achievement Award from the North Carolina Electronics and Information Technologies Association (NCEITA). The award is the highest level of recognition within the organization and past recipients include former North Carolina Governor James B. Hunt, and past President of IBM USA, Dick Daugherty.

Colleagues who nominated Braswell for the honor cited his advocacy for North Carolina's technology industry and the fact that he was a driving force behind the formation of NCEITA in 1993. They called him an innovative thinker and credited him for bringing more than 500 jobs to North Carolina. They also acknowledged his belief that by working together, the IT industry can help transform the State's economy.

"Harvey Braswell has been a leader and visionary in the technology services industry for more than 30 years. His knowledge of technology has helped greatly expand ACS' government healthcare business," said Mark King, ACS President and Chief Operating Officer. "We value his expertise and applaud his efforts in North Carolina. We are extremely proud of the honor that NCEITA and the State have bestowed upon him."

Braswell was instrumental in ACS' recent win of the North Carolina Medicaid contract, leading a team that eventually won the business from the 35-year incumbent.
