Nonstop service from Baltimore-Washington (BWI), Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK) to Guadeloupe (PTP) will begin on November 10.

The flights for the 2016 winter season will operate three times per week from New York, and twice per week from Baltimore/Washington, D.C. and Boston to Pointe-à-Pitre (PTP) Guadeloupe. Tickets are now available for purchase at norwegian.com/uswith fares as low as $49 one-way, including taxes.

"We're very excited to announce our return to the French Caribbean from the Northeastern United States. There has been a lack of direct service between these regions for the past 20 years, and the first season performed beyond our expectations. We are pleased to see the positive response from American travelers who are now enjoying easier access and affordable fares to the Caribbean, and if demand continues to grow, we hope to make this a year-round service," said Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian's Chief Commercial Officer.

Since the beginning of the year, the Guadeloupe archipelago has been recognized by prominent media as a premiere Caribbean destination:

1. The New York Times #11 in the "52 Places to Go in 2016"
2. Condé Nast Traveler "Top 16 Places to Go in 2016"
3. #1 in the Caribbean by Mercer's survey of "Quality of Living Rankings
2016"
4. USA Today 10Best "2nd Best Caribbean Destination for Food"
Also, on Tuesday February 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered its highly anticipated, one-hour special "The Trip 2016 - Caribbean". The Trip 2016 features a $100,000 dream adventure giveaway packed with the most thrilling, surprising, and exclusive experiences one can find in five Caribbean gems.

In the Guadeloupe islands' segment, 3-time James Beard Award-winning TV personality, Andrew Zimmern, explores Guadeloupean cuisine with local chef Rudy Colmar and discovers how French traditional cooking techniques blend with local Creole flavors to create mouthwatering, "Nouvelle-Creole specialties"; a modern interpretation of Creole dishes savored by both locals and visitors.

To commemorate the Guadeloupe Islands appearance on Travel Channel's "The Trip 2016," the Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board and its partner Coeur des iles are introducing an exclusive culinary packagewhere visitors can experience the culinary highlights featured on the TV program.

"The renewal of the winter season is just fantastic news. We are very pleased with our partnership with Norwegian as we both have in mind the long term development of the destination. This renewal is the result of a successful first season and it crowns our recent recognition in the media. We are working hard on raising the awareness of the Guadeloupe islands in the US market. Being selected for "THE TRIP 2016" is a big plus for us and we were much honored to welcome Andrew Zimmern," said Sandra Venite, USA Director for the Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board.
