Twin Cities' EPG Security Rocks the National Music Festival Market

Twin Cities' EPG Security Rocks the National Music Festival Market

MINNEAPOLIS, June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- When your security agency becomes the go-to source for providing top-notch, customer-friendly security for music festivals from Minnesota to Arkansas, what better way to get your agents where they are needed than to buy a school bus?! The special events division of Minneapolis-based EPG Security Group is exploding, repeatedly beating out other security firms for business in the music festival industry. With a line-up for summer 2015 that is leading the agency to hire more agents, a bus was the logical next investment as EPG's growing reputation crosses more and more state lines. That bus just returned from Arkansas, having brought 50 agents to EPG's newest client, Indie rock music festival Wakarusa.

"EPG is one of the few Midwest security companies that can handle large-scale festivals, and now with our bus, we are mobile," said Erik Bergling, founder and CEO of EPG Security Group. "Now we can bring our people to underserved areas that don't have security options, and all at a reasonable cost. In fact, we will be purchasing two more buses in August to support our clients located farther afield."

EPG worked the Northern Invasion heavy metal music festival in Somerset, Wis., back in May with 100 agents. At the same time, the bus was wrapped up in EPG's black-and-gold logo and colors by Midwest Signtech in Rochester, Minn. The newly minted EPG bus will be making multiple runs this summer, as EPG's June special events schedule is loaded:

-- June 4-7: Wakarusa, Mulberry Mountain, Ozark, Ark. (50 agents)
-- June 10-13: Kick'n Up Kountry Camping & Music Festival, Karlstad, Minn.
(13 agents)
-- June 11-13: Blue Ox Festival, Eau Claire, Wis. (10 agents)
-- June 20-21: Rock the Garden, Minneapolis (75 agents)
-- June 26: Bryant Lake Bowl block party, Minneapolis (25 agents)
-- June 26-27: Buffalo Rodeo, Buffalo, Minn. (13 agents)
-- June 27-28: Pride Beer Dabbler, Minneapolis (25 agents)
