High School Nation & Takis Donate $250,000 to Public High Schools

A music festival tour is set to visit 25 locations featuring top artists from movies, MTV, and YouTube

CAMARILLO, Calif., April 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- High School Nation (HSN) has announced that the Spring 2015 installment of The High School Nation Tour will be visiting select high schools in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada, kicking off on April 20th in Baldwin Park, CA with the tour ending in San Diego on Friday May 22nd. Talent will include Jacob Latimore (Maze Runner, Ride Along, & Black Nativity), Atlantic Records recording artist Trevor Jackson, and YouTube sensation Leroy Sanchez, as well as Pop singer & actor Chris Bones, Warner Bros Records teen vocalist Kaya Stewart (daughter of Eurythmics legend Dave Stewart) and MTV winners, Palaye Royale.

Partnering with HSN for this exciting new tour lineup is Takis: "We support initiatives that promote music and the arts within high schools. By helping foster student passion for music, we are able to introduce the intensity of Takis flavors and at the same time help spark the intensity that students have for the arts." -Araceli Gomez, Global Marketing Manager

During the 25-city Festival Tour, High School Nation will take over football stadiums on each of the campuses and present a 2-hour concert and festival that will celebrate the arts in public schools. Along with a strong showcase for music appreciation, the festival will highlight journalism, film, fine arts, fashion, photography, and dance. Students will visit interactive zones from the Sony Media Zone, Guitar Center Music Zone, Tulip Art Zone, and Tilly's Style Zone. Each school will receive a donation package from High School Nation, totaling over ten thousand ($10,000.00) per campus.

HSN Founders Jimmy Cantillon and Kevin Cantillon had this to say about the tour: "This 2015 lineup is one of our best yet. To be celebrating our 100(th) campus event on this tour is surreal. We can't wait to show everyone what we have in store this year."

About High School Nation:

Over the past 10 years High School Nation has become the country's largest high school touring agency. HSN gives exposure to up-and-coming artists, as well as provides students with free entertainment at a time when funding for the arts has been severely cut nationwide. In 2014 the HSN Tour donated $500,000 worth of instruments and supplies to school music & arts programs.
