Redmoon Partners with The Gathering Group to Create Moments of Spectacle Experience at Snowstorm

Redmoon Partners with The Gathering Group to Create Moments of Spectacle Experience at Snowstorm

Music and Art Combine to Become Winter Whiteout of Spectacles on March 7

CHICAGO, Feb. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Gathering Group, the revolutionary live event production company that will bring the first-ever Snowstorm Winter Music and Arts Festival to Chicago next month, has officially announced an entertainment partnership with the Chicago-based spectacle and public arts organization, Redmoon.

With the full lineup set for Navy Pier on Saturday, March 7, Snowstorm Music and Arts Festival is more than just your average music festival. Snowstorm will be an interactive, winter wonderland, incorporating musical, artistic and experiential elements into one holistic sensory adventure.

"Redmoon is thrilled to be an entertainment partner in the first year of this annual EDM event," said Alex Balestrieri, Director of Events at Redmoon. "At a time that is traditionally cold and quiet, the Gathering Group is creating another large-scale opportunity for Chicagoans to enjoy each other and their city in celebration."

In order to achieve this one-of-a-kind experience, Snowstorm partnered with Redmoon, which has a wide range of experience in cross-collaboration and the creation of interactive experiences. Together, the brands will bring art and music in tandem to the festival. Snowstorm begins with the Drum Cart, a three-tiered, pedal-powered percussion tank with a trio of skilled drummers. After attendees make their way through the entrance, they will be greeted by servers with floating trays suspended from hot air balloons in the Grand Ballroom and then, in the Chill Out Zone, guests will find interactive digital photo booths so friends can capture special moments.

A few additional elements of Snowstorm will include Napkin Ladies decked out in glamourous gowns, woven from removable cocktail napkins and overhead, guests will see Hot Air Balloon Servers carrying party favors from silver trays floating midair.

"Snowstorm Winter Music and Arts Festival will take the electronic music festival experience to the next level," said Breana Coco-Marks, Director of Operations. "Redmoon's core model--drama and flare for creative, unique events at iconic Chicago landmarks like Navy Pier--aligns perfectly with the artistic experience we are creating for attendees."

Snowstorm will feature Moby, one of the industry's most preeminent and influential artists, as the event's headliner. The Gathering Group is also proud to present ASTR, Figgy, The Hood Internet, Kody Madro, Louis the Child, Orchard Lounge, RJD2, Trippy Turtle, Win & Woo and Zimmer.

Chicago is known for its tough winters, and this one-day festival is a celebration of the Windy City's residents' resiliency. Snowstorm will be incorporating a "whiteout" motif, encouraging attendees to don their best all-white outfits to celebrate the cold season and the hottest beats.

The event is open to fans of electronic music and those looking for a unique music festival experience to break the cold monotony of winter. It will take place at the Grand Ballroom and Lakeview Terrace at Navy Pier on March. 7. For more information about Snowstorm and to purchase ticket packages, please visit: www.snowstormfest.com.
