ABAI Fest and KAVGC Summit 2015 - India's Biggest Event for Animation, Visual Effects Gaming and Comics to be Held on 6th-8th February

BANGALORE, February 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

ABAI, the nodal agency for Animation, Visual Effects, Games and Comics (AVGC), is
organising the ABAI Fest 2015 - India's biggest festival in AVGC sector and KAVGC Summit
2015 - India's primary business conclave and forum for workshops, seminars and
master-classes on animation, VFX, gaming and comics.

ABAI Fest and KAVGC Summit 2015 will be organised from 6th - 8th February 2015 at
Hotel Taj West End, Bangalore. The festival and summit, supported by department of IT, BT
and S&T, is aimed at spreading awareness about the AVGC industry and to bring together the
stalwarts of this industry from across the globe under one roof to come, discuss and work
together towards creating a better ecosystem for the industry.

"ABAI takes another leap in personalising its offerings as the #1 dedicated AVGC
industry forum. The combo (festival plus interactive live events) provides choice and
personalisation for artists, technicians, production studios and IP creators plus
start-ups and entrepreneurs in the field of animation gaming and VFX," said Mr. Biren
Ghose, President of ABAI, who is also the Country Head of Technicolor India.

"India is learning to act as an extended production arm to the rapidly globalising
AVGC system. Today, the country is already more than 6% of global production. When India
started out less than 15 years ago, it was less than a single digit," he added.

ABAI Fest, held annually in Karnataka, India with the support of Government of
Karnataka, is a confluence of Indian and global digital art industry. The fest is an ideal
platform for artists from various backgrounds across the globe to come together and
celebrate the art of digital storytelling and exchange ideas. This year, it will witness
the screening of animated short films from across the country, best of content from film
festivals across the globe and the best of feature films produced in India and abroad.

ABAI Fest 2015 will be a place where stars like Chhota Bheem, Mighty Raju, Arjun: The
Warrior Prince and Swami Ayyappan will land along with their creators. Come be a part of
the animation, visual effects, gaming and comics extravaganza.

KAVGC Summit, the annual business meet for the AVGC industry, is an ideal platform for
knowledge sharing, business development and networking. The summit's eminent audience has
always included senior government officials, trade body representatives, CEOs,
entrepreneurs and senior management.

KAVGC Summit 2015 will feature the who's who from the international AVGC world,
sharing their experience, expertise and making them available for those who want more from
them. Clinics, Speed Pitch and Pitch competitions are the attractions at the summit.
Unlike most business events, the summit is aimed at making the event more business
centric, rather than engaging the crowd only through seminars and panel discussions. It is
an ideal platform for buyers/sellers of intellectual property, and the participants get an
opportunity to pitch and sell their products to distributors worldwide.

Mr. Ankur Bhasin, Chairman, ABAI Fest and KAVGC Summit 2015, said, "ABAI is changing
how business conclaves are conducted in the industry. Seminars and panel discussions are
passé, so we introduce the 'clinic' formats at this year's ABAI Fest and KAVGC Summit in
a follow-up to our experiments with this format last edition. Launching Karnataka's first
3D movie 'Slick Rick' and first 3D TV series 'Rise of the Valiant Indrajeet' and
premiering 'Swami Ayyappan', ABAI Fest/KAVGC Summit are now the premier AVGC event of the
country that you cannot afford to miss."
