Doctors Committee Launches Radio Ad Campaign Against Five Congressional Democrats; "They Need To Keep Their Promises"

"Our Patients First" Targets Kirkpatrick, Bera, Maloney, Graham and Ashford

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The physician-directed political action committee Our Patients First PAC (OPF PAC) has launched a national radio ad campaign targeting five Democrat Members of Congress urging them to demand the full truth from ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber and the Obama Administration - and for these politicians to keep their promises to the voters who narrowly elected all of them to office.

Gruber, paid nearly $400,000 by the Obama Administration for his major work on shaping the health care law has said publicly that ObamaCare only passed Congress due to the "stupidity of the American voter."

The OPF PAC ads are running in local markets for Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-1), Ami Bera (CA-07), Sean Maloney (NY-18), Gwen Graham (FL-02) and Brad Ashford (NE-02). They follow an impactful television ad by the group in Iowa and New Hampshire highlighting Gruber's comments and reminding voters that ObamaCare is based on Hillary Clinton's own failed health care reform proposal.

OPF PAC also aired radio ads in last week's Louisiana Senate race supporting Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy's successful campaign to unseat Sen. Mary Landrieu.

Dr. Jane Hughes, co-founder of OPF PAC said the media campaign is necessary because of the damage ObamaCare has done to the doctor-patient relationship and the quality of care available to patients. "We, as doctors, take the Hippocratic oath seriously. ObamaCare and the politicians who forced it upon doctors and patients are doing great harm," said Dr. Hughes. "Every one of the five politicians we are highlighting has pledged to serve the public interest. They need to keep their promises - and dealing with the disaster of Obamacare is the first place to start."

OPF PAC is dedicated to promoting a strong doctor patient relationship and more free-market approaches to health care reform in national and state elections. It supports candidates who share the vision of always putting patients first.
