Coaching Spotlight and the Cutting the Net Feature Powered by Werner
GREENVILLE, Pa., March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Werner, manufacturer of the official ladder of the NCAA(®) Basketball Championships, is sponsoring several featured segments on CBS Sports Network, including the "Coaching Spotlight" and "Cutting the Nets." These programming traditions provide news, commentary and post-game highlights while bringing the fan experience to life throughout the NCAA basketball championship.
The "Coaching Spotlight" on CBS Sports Network, brought to you by Werner, invites current coaches to share their stories, trials and tribulations of their personal journeys this basketball season. The segment provides a platform for coaches to share their challenges and aspirations to cut down the nets this year at the 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four(®) in North Texas.
"We've been partnering with CBS Sports Network for many years and it is an honor to be a part of this incredible experience as the coaches and players strive towards the championship," said Chris Filardi, vice president of marketing at Werner Co. "Through our partnership with NCAA and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, we've seen monumental victories and upsets over the years and look forward to bringing these stories to the many diehard fans."
In addition, the "Cutting the Nets" feature, brought to you by Werner Ladder, showcases the best college teams who battle it out week after week trying to be the final team standing. Sixty-eight teams began the journey on March 18 and the final moment will conclude on April 7 when the new national champions will climb the Official Werner ladder of the NCAA basketball championships to cut down the nets and commemorate their victory.
The custom 9' Werner stepladders used during the regionals and the men's and women's championships are made exclusively for the NCAA and the post-game net-cutting ceremonies and provide easy access to the net for the winning players and coaches.
