SF Museum of the African Diaspora Honors 'Civil Rights in America' Theme

Series of Public Programs & Events Celebrate Feb. Black History Month

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- February is Black History Month, and the national theme for 2014 is Civil Rights in America. Starting February 6, San Francisco's Museum of the African Diaspora (www.moadsf.org) offers a month-long series of public programs and events designed to celebrate Black History Month.

"The amazing collection of films, workshops, music and performances we are offering at MoAD in February and beyond honor the history, contributions and successes of African Americans and others in the movement for civil rights and equal treatment under the law," said Linda Harrison, Executive Director of MoAD.
