Fast-Growing Korean Cartoon Industry Releases Series Of Animated E-Books To U.S. Market

SEOUL, South Korea, Dec. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Korea Manhwa Contents Agency (KOMACON), the government agency responsible for sharing comics and print cartoons created by Korean artists, announced today the release of several new animated e-books to the U.S. market. Korean manhwa, increasingly popular in the United States, is receiving broad recognition worldwide with the popularity of "Oksu Station Ghost" and other animated series utilizing unique Korean artistry and storytelling.

"Manhwa is a cultural jewel in Korea's crown, and we are anxious to share this important art with the rest of the world," said Oh Jae-rok, a director at KOMACON. But his brother was infected with zombie virus, so he had to have a surgery to separate. 20 years after virus infection, on earth, some of survivors are mostly living on the ground with desperate condition, others are living in the sky city called LEVICEN, and there are full of zombies which started to evolute by themselves. There is a noble girl named Rosie, who came down to the ground from LEVICEN for military action and left alone in a mess, Sting and his colleagues who lived from hand to mouth by gathering contributional points from zombie hunting. And Velika who lost her father unfortunately. This is a tale about their accidental encounter, and their extra-ordinary journey.
