NEW YORK, Aug. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott Brothers Entertainment (SBE) announced today plans to expand its media division with the appointment of executive producer Katie Ruttan Daigleto the position of Vice President of Development and Productionin the company's Factual Entertainment division. Ruttan Daigle will join SBE's founders and executive producers, Drew Scott, Jonathan Scott, and J.D. Scott in overseeing SBE's major growth plans into the North American market.

With experience spanning nearly two decades in the television industry, Ruttan Daigle has held leadership roles in a wide range of national and international television programs for networks such as HBO, A&E, HGTV USA & Canada, Channel 4, W Network, and the CBC.

SBE's immediate objective will be to create content across all platforms, sharpening their focus on factual and factual entertainment programming slates and striving to engage audiences through multi-media experiences. This approach has SBE well poised to become a major player in the evolution of television and is in line with the company's vision of becoming one of the leading production companies in North America.

No stranger to the industry, the Scott Brothers have been producing, directing and writing for film and television for the past 10 years. More recently, Drew and Jonathan Scott have maintained their own production endeavours while also helming HGTV's top-rated series Property Brothers, Buying & Selling and the newly launched and highly-anticipated, Brother vs. Brother. Since the premiere of Property Brothers in 2010 - the pilot produced by Ruttan Daigle - the Scott Brothers have been committed to working with the series' producers Cineflix Media on building the Property Brothers' brand, and with the third season of Property Brothers launching this fall on HGTV, fans of the dynamic duo can expect to see Drew and Jonathan Scott making real estate dreams come true for many seasons to come.
