ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., July 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In a city known for its coveted beaches, the famed Boardwalk, glitzy casino resorts, and where Nucky ruled the Prohibition Era, there's also a famous pageant: The Miss'd America Pageant. Presented by the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance and the Schultz-Hill Scholarship Foundation in association with Caesars Entertainment, Miss'd America continues its annual Pageantry with a sashay down the Boardwalk from Boardwalk Hall to the House of Blues at Showboat on Saturday, September 21 at 8pm. Tickets, which are on sale now, are $45, $65 & $100, and can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com and at the House of Blues Box Office directly. All tickets include admission to the pre-and-post parties throughout the weekend.

A not-to-be-missed entertainment event, the Miss'd America Pageant (1994-2005) was absent from Atlantic City for nearly five years, before making its triumphant return on January 31, 2010. On that date, Miss'd America 2010, Miss Michelle Dupree, was crowned the winner. The event was created as a spoof of the world-famous Miss America Pageant to raise funds for a local charity. It took place annually on the night after the famous beauty pageant when held in Atlantic City.

Proceeds from the 2013 Miss'd America Pageant will be equally divided between the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance and the Schultz-Hill Scholarship Foundation, and then split among various charities. Since its inception, the pageant has donated over $200,000.00. For more information on either organization, visit www.acglbt.org or www.schultz-hill.org.

The "Wanna-Be-Queens"
A contestant search was conducted in New Jersey, New York, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and many other states. Contestants completed a submission form and submitted a three-minute video of their talent for consideration by a very distinguished panel of entertainment industry moguls. For information on contestant search, contact Joel Ballesteros at 609.214.7607 or jballesteros@acglbt.org.

Contestants competing for the Miss'd America title will be judged in the categories of swimsuit, talent, evening gown, and must complete a Judges' Interview. Along with the crown, the 2013 Miss'd America winner will receive cash and prizes, and must be available for multiple appearances throughout her reigning year. Miss'd America 2012 Sabel Scities will crown the winner and perform a farewell performance.

The Hostess with the Most-ess
Michelle Visage, who is described as a 'glamorous firecracker', is recently best-known as a judge on the LOGO Network hit series "Drag Race", featuring the reigning Drag-Queen-of-them-all and America's most-famous Queen, RuPaul. Coming back to her home state of New Jersey, Visage will host this year's Pageant with that same quick-witted sarcasm and humor seen on Drag Race. With Visage on a stage of novice Drag Queens, there really is no telling WHAT she might say or do!

Miss'd America is never a one-night-affair ... Pro Bar at Resorts Casino Hotel Hosts Pre-Party hosted by CeCe Peniston
CeCe Peniston, a former beauty queen herself, is best known for her 90s hit "Finally" which quickly became known as the LGBT community's anthem. Fans of Ms. Peniston can catch her act in advance on Friday, September 20 at 8pm where she will host the official Miss'd America Pre-Party. Kicking the weekend off in a way that no other Atlantic City nightclub can, Pro Bar at Resorts Casino Hotel, will feature signature cocktails, high energy dancers and performers of the night and a DJ whose batteries never run out.

Immediately following the Miss'd America crowning, all ticket holders will receive complimentary entry into the after party at the Club Harlem Ballroom and Foundation Room, just adjacent to the House of Blues Music Hall.
