Olympus Band Wins Spot in Finals of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Battle of the Corporate Bands

All-Employee Band to Promote Music Education and Community Outreach

CENTER VALLEY, Pa., June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Olympus, a precision technology leader in designing and delivering innovative opto-digital solutions in healthcare, life science and consumer electronics products, announced today that the Company's all-employee band, "Peripheral Vision", has advanced to the final round of the 13(th) Annual FORTUNE Battle of the Corporate Bands. The band performed against other bands across the U.S. and will compete for the title on September 28(th) at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, OH.

The Battle of the Corporate Bands is held each year to salute the best amateur, company-sponsored bands. The goal of the national competition is to promote music education and all event proceeds will benefit the Rock Hall's educational activities. The program is presented through a partnership with FORTUNE magazine, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), and the Rock Hall, and is sponsored by Gibson Guitars, Chancellor University and Panasonic Automotive.
