NEW YORK, June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Organizers for FESTIVAL PEOPLE EN ESPANOL Presented by Target--the multi-faceted celebration of Hispanic entertainment and culture--can now confirm this year's schedule of free, open-to-the-public daytime events that celebrate the best of Latino culture and community. Set for this Labor Day weekend (Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1) in San Antonio, Texas, FESTIVAL PEOPLE EN ESPANOL Presented by Target offers free open-to-the-public daytime activities at The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, and a mix of live performances (daily breakdown below) each evening at the Alamodome.
FESTIVAL PEOPLE EN ESPANOL's panels anddiscussions focus on a wide variety of topics and also include daily musical performances.Telemundo's Alessandra Villegas and Univision's Marycarmen Lopez will co-host the daytime activities at the convention center on both days. Some 2013 FESTIVAL PEOPLE EN ESPANOL daytime panel highlights include a tribute to late singer Jenni Rivera; the unveiling of People En Espanol's 2013 Sexiest Man Alive; telenovelas chats with Silvia Navarro, Rafael Amaya and Marjorie De Sousa; celebrity Q&As with HBO boxer, Sergio Martinez, singer and actor Jencarlos Canela, among others. Other activities include celebrity meet & greets; sessions with leading industry experts on topics ranging from fashion to wellness; and a sampling of favorite brands through special on-site consumer experiences round out the daytime events at the convention center.
Building on last year's program on the "Main Stage", the event will have additional content on its newly created "Renuevate Stage" dedicated to healing of mind, body and soul.
