Music Retailer to Help People Redeem HMV Vouchers
Music Retailer to Help People Redeem HMV Vouchers
NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME, England, January 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
One of HMV's former suppliers has stepped in to help customers of the stricken music
chain redeem vouchers and gift cards.
TheGoldDisc.com supplied music memorabilia to HMV for three years, and estimate the
company's slump into administration will cost them in the region of 15000 a year.
But rather than worrying about the consequences for the Staffordshire firm's future,
their MD Dave Breese took the positive step of helping HMV customers with unusable
vouchers and gift cards.
He said: "We will take a hit from the demise of HMV but so will many others - lots of
people would have received HMV vouchers and gift cards as Christmas presents, and they are
unlikely to be refunded by the administrators.
"Instead of letting that money go to waste they can use them to get up to 50% knocked
off any order placed through our music gifts website."
Vouchers and gift cards can be used in part-payment for any orders. The offer ends at
midnight on 31st January.
